Wednesday Evenings 6.30pm & 7.30pm
The classes are friendly and informal and although may vary slightly week to week, generally combine breathwork, body scan and a mindful visualisation.
The meditation is approx. 30 to 35 minuets and can be practiced seated or lying down.
All mats, cushions, pillows and blankets are provided but you are welcome to bring your own if preferred.
It is recommended that your wear loose, comfortable clothing.
MINI RETREAT - SELF CARE FOR THE MIND & BODY
Meditation and Yoga combine on this mini retreat for a little ‘me time’ to relax and rejuvenate.
Nicki from Superstar Yoga and Sally from Lavender Hedge Therapies have come together to create two sessions to allow you to focus on yourself in the beautiful surroundings of The Loft.
Combining both yoga and meditation will help you to physically and mentally relax. In between sessions there will be tea, coffee and refreshments to give you time to chat in the tranquil surroundings.
Why take part in a retreat?
Meditation and Yoga are some of the strongest tools to help reduce stress, anxiety and body tension. They can also help to increase immunity, feelings of well-being, intuitively and creativity - to name just a few!
Calm and release combination - Session One
This session will see you firstly calm and still your mind with a 45 minute guided/visual meditation followed by a one hour restorative yoga session to help the body unwind and release tension.
Let go and relax- Session Two
Starting with a gentle yoga flow to let go of any tension or unease in the body, followed by a 45 minute guided/visual meditation to help the mind let go of anything that doesn’t serve you.
Places are limited to allow Sally and Nicki to provide you with the time and attention to help you get the best out of the sessions.
Cost is £20 per person and includes refreshments. All equipment is provided, please feel free to bring your own mat. Warm clothes and socks are recommended.

We are absolutely delighted that this first retreat sold out within a few days. We are planning another early in the new year and will announce the date on social media within a few weeks.
Please wear loose and comforatble clothing. Bring an extra jumper and big socks for the Shavasana at the end of your yoga session and for the meditation. We do have blankets, mats and pillows here at The Loft which you are welcome to use however, you can bring your own if you prefer.
There are many styles and types of meditation and sometimes reading about them or investigating online can be confusing. To find out more about different meditation tequniques I have created a 4 part workshop, each part will be approx. 2 hrs.
On the first session we will explore the different techniques of the 3 main meditation styles - Transandental, Mindfulness and Concentration.
On the next 3 sessions we will explore each one more deeply, with meditations and helpful breathing techniques.
A one day course
Venue The Loft, Cambuslang
9.30am to 5pm
On the day you will learn the history of traditional Reiki and how it works. You will learn about the benefits of using Reiki for self healing and personal development, about chakras, the Reiki principles, hand positions and a healing practice. You will receive 4 attunements enabling access to the Reiki energy.
This course is suitable for anyone with an interest in healing energy and looking for new ways to create balance in their life. Reiki 1 can be used on a personal level with no need to expand or to progress to the higher levels. Reiki 1 allows treatment of yourself, family and friends but doesn't allow you to charge for it.
If you are a therapiest looking to expand your skills and offer more bespoke treatments, this can be the beginning of your Reiki journey.
My classes are always kept to a small number to allow a more personal approach so please get in touch should you like to reserve a place or if you would like any further information.
Please wear comfortable clothes because there is alot of sitting and talking! Feel free to bring a packed lunch but there are plenty of shops close by.
A full manual with additional blank pages will be provided and you will receive your certificate on completion of the workshop.p
There is always ongoing support from me and a date will be set for around 4 weeks from training for a follow up on your experience and a Reiki share.
